Tartan Tailor take great pride in our kilts. We exclusively employ an ex first battalion Black watch regimental master tailor qualified to distinction in City and Guilds. He also holds the military certificate of excellence in Highland Dress. He is trained in the same traditional techniques that were used to dress the brave soldiers of the first world war and beyond, so you can be assured that your kilt will be made to the highest standard possible. All our kilts are made using a minimum of eight yards pure wool, and are completely hand sewn and pressed. We do not use a heavy industrial press so you can be sure of a high quality tailored finish. When ordering a kilt you can choose whether to have your kilt on the line or the set, and have it pleated knife or box pleat, different types of linings are also available, so that your kilt will be uniquely tailored to you. The Tartan Tailor Guarantee: All Tartan Tailor kilts have a life time warranty on workmanship including buckles, straps and linings. In addition you will receive free alterations to buckles and straps the warranty also includes a free kilt pressing service.
